KUALA LUMPUR: The appearance of a Khanda image, Sikhism's holy symbol, at Gurdwara Sahib Serdang Lama has set the Sikh community abuzz with excitement.

The image was seen forming on the rumala, a yellow cloth covering Sikhism's holy book, the Guru Granth Sahib.

Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi

Sikhs celebrated Vesakhi nationwide on a grand scale yesterday, marking the 312th year of the establishment of the Khalsa order.

Dressed in colourful turbans and traditional salwar kameez, they thronged their respective gurdwara in the thousands.
